This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just in advance of Thotar will give you a taming Rod for the Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will provide you with a number of 3 taming rods, each is different and lets you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

Once you've completed the taming Component of the Quest chain, you have got to head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley of Honor in order to unlock your pet managing abilities: a fantastic read Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.
